Job Purpose

Ensuring that all business operations and processes are in compliance with local and international laws and regulations. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs to protect the organization from legal and regulatory risks.

Key Accountabilities

Offer expert guidance and present suitable recommendations on compliance matters to senior management.

Ensure adherence to relevant AML and compliance regulations as issued by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), and other applicable regulators.

Report to and advise senior management on deficiencies in the implementation of compliance policies and procedures and recommend measures to protect the interests of the company and its clients.

Lead AML initiatives to enhance awareness and standards; review and evaluate the AML function and ensure compliance with CMA regulations.

Offer compliance and regulatory guidance; implement key regulatory standards such as corporate governance, disclosure standards, and annual reports, and ensure all related gaps are addressed and closed.

Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and report on the findings of audits and recommend changes if necessary.
