- Efficiently Plan, organize and conduct complex office and field based digital forensic investigations in cases of alleged misconduct, mismanagement, fraud, corruption, waste of resources, or violations of the UNOPS’ regulations, rules and operational instructions in accordance with IAIG standard operating procedures and in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.
- Identify, collect, recover, analyze and preserve electronic evidence in a forensically sound manner.
- Manage workflow of individual investigation cases within the set timelines by defining the parameters and timetable of digital forensic investigations.
- Perform digital forensic analysis using validated techniques and methods.
- Lead the preparation of detailed forensic analysis reports: thoroughly document all methods, tools and activities; ensure that results are accurate, reliable, repeatable, and verifiable; present findings in an objective, clear and concise manner.
- Analyze digital forensic information.
- Develop standard operating procedures and guidelines for recovery and handling of electronic evidence, digital forensic analysis and forensic reports.
- Conduct peer reviews of forensic analysis reports.
- Ensure correct interpretation and proper referencing of forensic analysis results by other investigative units.
- Oversee or conduct regular training in Digital Forensic awareness.
- Provide expert consultations and testimony for tribunals.
- Conduct testing and maintain forensic equipment and tools.
- Maintain proficiency with industry standard tools and practices.
- Where needed, provide post-report support.
- International travel to UNOPS’ offices, including field missions, may be required depending on the case. Such travel could include missions to hardship duty stations. Authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with UNOPS official travel policy. Consultant to submit proof of travel to IAIG.

- Monitoring and Progress controls
- Under the direct supervision of the SALW Project Manager, the WAM Trainer will be the main operational and technical focal point in relation of training ammunition & weapons management for the programme and his/her responsibilities will include:
- Develop a work plan incorporating all stages of the training project.
- Manage training activities and personnel in the area of SALW.
- Consolidate and provide data to the Information Management System related to training.
- Manage student, administrative and control training sessions on the management of ammunition stockpiles and basic weapons.
- Conduct quality assurance & quality control checks through all the training and evaluate.
- Work in close cooperation with all personnel involved in WAM training activities.
- Provide relevant information on achievements and challenges to the SALW Project Manager.
- Enforce a complete cursus training up to the level of Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) training requested.
- Plan for and ensure accurate, regular and timely reporting of training issues/activities;
- Contribute to development of plans, reports and related documents to facilitate implementation of training activities.
- Provide input to policy, doctrine and procedures, in accordance with international norms, International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG) and the Modular Small-arms-control Implementation Compendium (MOSAIC), for the execution of the training.
- The training work plan is drafted and shared with SALW Project Manager for validation by the end of the first week of every employment period.
- End of training reports are submitted to SALW Project Manager.
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent), preferably in Law, Human rights, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Humanitarian/Development Studies, Economics, International Relations, Public Administration or a related field is required.
- Additional two years of similar experience with a Bachelor’s Degree is considered equivalent.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in humanitarian program management (especially emergency responses), including programme design, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance, and learning is required;
- Experience in development and peacebuilding is desirable;
- Robust experience working on humanitarian coordination across local, national and international agencies and mechanisms is highly preferred. Experience working with local first responders and on localization issues is an asset;
- Solid practical experience in working with the UN, donors, non-governmental organizations, public sector and/or civil society is required;
- In-depth understanding of the Myanmar context, including political, economic, social and conflict dynamics, is highly preferred;
- Strong writing and public speaking skills are highly preferred.
