• Provide task definition and design/architecture direction for other engineers
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of their discipline
• Remain flexible & put customer needs first
• Accurately estimate time to complete projects given structure of team and deliver on those estimates
• Allocate people within a team to maximize output of useful and team-goal-focused engineering work
• Monitor performance of engineers on team, and partner with engineering managers on mentoring and growth
• Look for ways to reduce distractions, interruptions, and unplanned work for themselves and others
• Challenge their team to demonstrate greater sense of urgency
• Be active in the technology community, positively contribute to CoachHub’s reputation, and find great candidates to grow the CoachHub team
• Ensure code/design/architecture reviews happen on teams and that work follows established best practices and standards

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user-friendly and responsive frontend interfaces using modern web technologies.
• Develop server-side logic, database schemas, and APIs to support frontend functionality.
• Collaborate with product managers, and other developers to understand project requirements.
• Identify and address technical challenges to deliver effective and scalable solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for both frontend and backend components.
• Author and review PRs using Github
• Ensure the reliability and quality of the developed software.

• Significant and proven experience in full stack development roles.
• Experience working as Frontend developer with React, Redux
• Experience working as Backend developer with NestJs, Django/FastAPI/Flask
• Knowledge of Microservices and serverless.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: S3, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda, ECR, Cognito, Cloudformation.
• Experience with Azure cloud services: Azure bot, App service, Azure Open AI. 
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL (Postgres, Redshift, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Experience with data pipelines is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements

• Proven professional data engineering experience.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with relational and column databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redshift respectively).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong experience working in a senior leadership role for data and information management
• Be an inspiring and visionary leader who creates an environment in which people feel comfortable to experiment and learn from their mistakes. Build a team that deeply trusts each other and have a culture of constant feedback.
• Be able to understand different business needs and foster cross-functional cooperation, helping decision-making across the whole organisation.
• Be able to engage in and influence technical discussions related to Data Warehouse design, ETL processes, data visualisation and machine learning algorithm as well as A/B-testing and data quality testing.
• Be confident in translating business requirements into technical needs and adjusting your communication style when changing audiences.
