- Responsible for the efficient coordination and management of all warehousing and inventory management functions .
Activities
- Understand, maintain, and implement (if required) standard inventory management policies and procedures.
- Manage and document the receipt, handling, storage, release and reporting of goods through ERP system.
- Advise the Operations Team of potential inventory shortages, specific issues or improvements.
- Advise the Management Team of warehouse-specific issues or improvements.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Implement and ensure clear loading / unloading procedures, correct stacking, and turnover (FIFO) procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and put in a place a process for the stock replenishment as needed.
- Coordinate the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
- Analyse and review supply chain data to identify and resolve issues
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of the store contents and inward and outward movement of goods in the warehouse register or stock card using the company’s ERP system.
- Prepare a monthly report for the outstanding store outlining all stock movements and remaining balances.
- On a monthly basis, work with the Financial team to reconcile the Inventory register in the ERP (Inventory Balance vs Accounting balance).
- Conduct routine inventory inspection and submit report to respective Management in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems and practices.
- Ensure Company Inventory items are safeguarded and managed in the best possible environment.
- Organize warehouse, label goods, and plot routes through the Bar codes system.
- Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Receive completed store’s request forms and prepare the assets for issuance.
- Ensure assets are signed for received on the Equipment issue and receipt form.
- Conduct routine asset inspection and submit report to Management in a timely manner.
- Implement and monitor Fuel Management system.
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of asset inward and outward movement in the Asset Register
- Assist in receiving supplies.
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of the store contents and inward and outward movement of goods in the warehouse register or stock cards.
- Ensure goods are ready for shipment in accordance with the approved procedures and in coordination with SCM Officer/GROs.
- Supervise truck loading and documentation follow up.
