- To monitor & ensure daily production on each assembly lines are achieved as per target. To assess the situation time to time & To initiate necessary corrective actions if production pace is not as required.
- To check daily , manpower deployment on each lines , check the absenteeism & fulfill the required resources before the start of the shift.
- To report daily line rejection , to do root cause analysis to initiate corrective preventive actions. This will help in improve line rejection & at the same time indirectly help in reducing field complaint.
- To balance the line , model to model, by evenly distributing the work content to get the output at a faster pace.
- To make sure the necessary process controls are in place & being followed by the operators which will ensure the consistent quality.
- To make sure the material consumptions in the production process is as per BOM.
- To minimize the process scrap as low as possible & improve on it by achieving process efficiency & suggesting & implementing ideas which will lead that.
- Training & development of workforce continuously to have skill matrix improved & multiskilled manpower.
- To maintain shop floor discipline & conduct as professional & make sure all the workman are engaged full time in the job with a clear understanding what is expected from them.
- To maintain safe work place , work practices & use of required PPEs all the time during the production operation. To ensure no hanging wire & wires , pipes etc on the floor.
- To maintain the house keeping (5S) of the production shop floor which includes proper storage of WIP material in demarcated area , there should be place for everything & everything should be in its place , No unwanted items/material should be lying ,
- There should be identification of each process & material being processed , Rejected items should be stored in rejected area with proper tag.
- To plan, get & maintain the required tools , tackles , storage racks/bins , trolleys , forklifts & reach trucks required during the production operation.
- To define the departmental objectives in PQCDSM term , set the target for the year , monitor the actuals every month & achieve the target at the end of the year.(P – Production/productivity , Q – Quality , C – Cost , D – Delivery , S – Safety & M – Morale).
- To capture , analyze daily & improve the departmental OEE (Over all Equipment Efficiency) which is a measurement of the health of the department.
- To plan , monitor & control manhours daily based on the production need to make sure the manpower cost improves continually.
Skills EXPERIENCE IN ELECTRICAL DESIGN & CONTROLS FOR HVAC UNITS
- Knowledge SELECTION OF ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS FOR HVAC UNITS(Packaged, split, chiller, AHU etc.)
- Review/Study the Design Criteria and Specifications of Projects
- Prepare Drawings Schedule and Study CAD and Engineering man-hours.
- Supervise CAD Operators and make sure that their work is in the right track and as per schedule.
- Design and study different proposals for projects.
- Make sure that all drawings produced for all disciplines are well coordinated.
- Coordinate with Procurement Dept. for materials selection and submittals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and approve technical proposals/shop drawings and materials.
- Review and prepare BOM.
- Capable of designing power distribution systems, power system layout, cost-effective selection of equipment, grounding and lighting system design and motor data sheets.
- Conversant with international codes viz. IEEE, NEC, API, BS, ASTM, ANSI, DIN, ISO, IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA etc. for design, materials, construction and testing.
- An up-to-date knowledge of best industrial practices and software available for engineering design and detailing (ECODIAL, ETAPE etc.).
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical specifications.
- Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence as well as internal procedures and instructions.
- To ensure that all activities pertaining to design like review of all product drawing specifications as per standard like dimensional, material specification are done as per approved standard procedure/ as per target date.
- Responsible for the review of all material specification /material component, product drawing and other test requirement as per approved standard procedure prior to development.
- Responsible to see that facilities and other equipment for testing are per approved standard and availability of every material/ equipment is within the responsibilities of research & development head.
- Responsible for monitoring/ verification of all test results for development & research activities.
- Maintain good inter department communication as to the specification of the of the products.
- To ensure all the necessary documentation are done as per approved standard procedure internal / external use.
- Review all prototype done and that all quality control points are as per approved standard prior to the production.
- Experience in HVAC equipment selection, design and development.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years related experience in Design and Manufacturing of HVAC Equipment.
- Member of Engineering Society (preferable)
- Knowledge of relevant standard and regulation is mandatory.
