Layer 7/CA API Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain Layer 7 components, including API Gateway (versions 10.x and 11.x) and Developer Portal (versions 4.x and 5.x).
- Implement custom solutions based on client requirements using CA API OAuth Toolkit.
API Design and Development:
- Leverage your 5+ years of hands-on experience to design and develop robust SOAP and REST APIs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs into existing systems.
Security Expertise:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of JWT and OAuth.
- Implement security mechanisms, including JSON Path, JSON Schema Validation, XPath, and XSLT.
- Understand and apply industry-standard web security practices, including OWASP guidelines.
- Work with databases such as MS SQL and Oracle to manage data flows within APIs.
Cryptography and Encryption:
- Understand cryptographic concepts, including X509 certificates, asymmetric, and symmetric encryption/decryption.
- Hands-on experience with OpenSSL or similar tools.
API Solution Design:
- Apply best practices in API solution design, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Microservices Architecture (Preferred):
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and related technologies/frameworks.
Domain Knowledge:
- Strong experience in the banking industry or financial services sector is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CA API Gateway, Layer 7) are a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Layer 7/CA API Management suite (API Gateway, Developer Portal).
- Excellent understanding of API security protocols (OAuth, JWT) and web security best practices.
- Strong database skills (MS SQL, Oracle).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
