- The individual will be a key member of the Menzies and NAS group finance team and wider group tax team working on the tax compliance for a multi-national group. The individual will primarily focus on the Middle East & Africa region, reporting to the SVP Finance MEAA. Important parts of the role will be having responsibility for the coordination of tax compliance across the region, building relationships with external advisors, calculation of current and deferred tax provisions, preparing the transfer pricing documentation and country-by-country reporting, as well as inputting into tax aspects of wider business activities for the region.
- What you will be doing
- Coordinate tax compliance across the region, developing relationships with internal finance teams and external advisors. This includes managing the new compliance requirements in the UAE.
- Working with local finance teams to help prepare the current and deferred tax provisions and forecasts for the regional entities, providing these to the group tax team for inclusion in the annual report.
- Working with local finance teams and the group tax team in the UK to prepare the regional transfer pricing documentation and compliance with country-by-country reporting requirements across a variety of countries in the region.
- Managing disputes with tax authorities across the region.
- Ensuring that the group tax governance, controls and procedures are applied in the region, including the group transfer pricing policy.
- Undertaking tax technical research as required. Monitoring new laws and developments in the region, considering the impact on the group.
- As the group operates in several different countries across the region, the role offers the individual the chance to support on ad hoc tax queries and develop knowledge and experience of international taxes in the region.

- What we are looking for
- Experienced senior associate or manager who has supported with corporate tax advisory work in MEAA region.
- Tax accounting experience.
- Understanding of tax governance processes that impact a large multi-national group.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience dealing with tax matters across several MEAA countries.
- Qualified accountant and/or tax adviser.
- Experience in preparing, or advising on the preparation of, transfer pricing documentation and country-by-country reports.
