About the Job
As an Assistant Chief Steward at Copthorne Al Jahra Hotel & Resort, you will work closely with the Chief Steward to manage the stewarding department. Your responsibilities will include assisting in overseeing the stewarding team, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operation of kitchen facilities.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Steward in supervising the stewarding team.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
- Coordinate cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
- Train the stewarding team on cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness in food storage areas.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure availability of clean equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and compliance.
- Assist in managing schedules, staffing, and team performance.

- Monitor and control stewarding budgets and expenses.
- Participate in recruiting and training of stewarding team.
