- Developing and recommending safety measures to protect the well-being of employees.
- SOP implementation on the work site.
- Monitoring, anticipating, and preventing hazardous conditions.
- Promoting healthy and safe working methods and practices in the workplace.
- Identifying, recording, and reporting on hazards, accidents, injuries, and health issues.
- Assisting with the investigation of accidents, studying possible causes, and providing remedial advice.
- Conducting health and safety training sessions for management, supervisors, and workers.
- Coordinating emergency procedures.
- Preparing and implementing Risk Assessment and Activity Hazard Analysis
- Initiate and authorize a “Stop Work” order for any imminent safety or health concerns.
- Developing Occupational Health and Safety plans and monitoring compliance.
- Implement and enforce the requirements outlined company Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Site Safety Health Plan (SSHP).
- Ensure field implementation of the AHK APP
- Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating them following legislation.
- Handling worker’s compensation claims.
- Ensuring proper storage and labeling of hazardous materials.
- Ensuring proper waste management
- Responsible for managing, communicating, implementing, and enforcing compliance with the
- AHK APP and other accepted safety and health submittals.
- Specify proper levels of PPE IAW and the requirements of this APP.
- Implement and enforce the AHK safety policies.
- Conduct visitor orientation, daily safety inspections, and weekly safety audits.
- Manage and maintain on-site safety documentation and employee certifications.
- Responsible for ensuring that all elements of the approved APP are implemented and enforced on-site.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with current safety laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
- Bachelor’s or vocational degree
- Must be fluent in English.
- Five years of safety experience in supervising or managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
- Five years of general safety experience in supervising or managing general industries (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER.
- 30-hour OSHA Occupational Safety for the Construction Industry.
- The 30-hour OSHA General Industry Safety.
- 8-hour Supervisor/Manager training requirements IAW 29 CFR 1910.120.
- Trained and certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Fully familiar with preparing and implementing Risk Assessment and Activity Hazard Analysis.
- MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to ethical management, avoiding “cover-your-ass” tactics, and promoting transparency and accountability.
- Relevant certification in Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA,).
- Experience in working with Procore Project Management Software.
- Can work with MS OneDrive.
- Multilingual abilities, especially proficiency in Hindi and Urdu.
- Kuwait driving license.
