- The Area Manager will be responsible for the region’s financial growth and expansion, ensure objectives as per financial plan for the region are accomplished.
- The role will be accountable for the region’s Operations & Sales objectives in collaboration with the Business Unit heads.
- Develop and implement a sustainable strategy (1–3-year timescales) for the Region while managing current and future growth.
- Oversee the financial growth for the region; set financial priorities accurately to meet revenue targets and maximize profitability.
- Own the entirety of the Sales and Operation process to meet targets for growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Responsible for managing Health and Safety in a proactive manner, with the aim of achieving company’s safety goals.
- Directs and supports all business activities to drive continuous improvement to deliver value added and cost-effective solutions Build & grow the sales pipeline including new sales opportunities to maximize revenue, profitability targets while mitigating risks for the region.
- Assure compliance with Company’s Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for bidding and project delivery. Oversees and analyzes projects and business cost, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Recruit, select and develop senior management team members.
- Set direction and objectives for team members and ensure achievement of their development plans
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent from an internationally recognized University.
- Masters in business administration would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a Construction / Engineering company including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrable Project Management experience in a Construction or Engineering industry with high turnover and activity.
- Management of a Branch / Regional or large Department within an organization preferred.
- Hiring staff and the purchase of equipment, determining budgets, setting of operational procedures.
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
- Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions.
