- The IMTS Support Administrator position will report to the Manager of IMTS at Al Ain Campus and will be On-site. This position will be required to provide IT support to end users for computer hardware, software, other technology equipment, and business-related applications. The Support Administrator serves as the frontline IT-related support matters such as calls and email requests for technical support.
- This position includes documentation, tracking, monitoring, and resolving problems. Understanding the use of an IT Helpdesk management system is essential. The IMTS Support Administrator also assists and train staff on various computer platforms and software and performs work with minimum supervision.
- Contributing to institutional digitalization and automation initiatives is an important aspect in this role.
- Routine support on teaching and learning technology such as support for learning management systems, desktop support to classrooms, IT hardware in the labs, faculty and staff offices; installs photocopiers, printers, scanners, video conferencing tools and labs’ equipment.
- Receives support requests, diagnoses the problems and works on solution to ensure smooth operations.
- Installs software, configures applications/licenses, and solves log in/ passwords issues.
- Provides basic network support, troubleshoots basic telephone, internet, and Wi-Fi issues.
- Creates emails accounts, creates active directories for new users, prepare access cards, assign telephone extensions, and disables accounts of separating users.
- Performs servers’ backup to ensure students, faculty, and staff data are secured.
- Invigilates lab exams as requested by colleges; supports online exams.
- Requires availability to support weekend classes and evening shifts.
- Holds information sessions and trainings for faculty, students, and staff to train them on using IT equipment/applications.
- Provides technical support and set up for ADU on campus/off campus events.
IT Asset Management
- Inspects classrooms, labs, offices, review productions dates to do necessary replacements every 4 years.
- Reports any changes to the department’s Asset Coordinator to update the inventory system accordingly.
Low Code Application Development
- Knowledgeable in Zero code/No code applications and platforms.
- Understanding of modelling-driven design/development.
- Creates simple digital forms and published online.
- Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role: Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or IT
- Professional Certificates like MCSE, MCP, CCNA preferred
- Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2 years’ experience
- Nature of Relevant Experience Required: 2 years in a position of IT support and/or application development
- Experience in the education industry preferred
