As a
Retail Learning Manager at Louis Vuitton, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering a structured learning and development program that aligns with both business objectives and the needs of our teams. Your role will support the growth of store and team managers by enhancing their leadership skills through coaching and training, ensuring that they can confidently lead their retail teams to success. The ultimate goal is to deliver excellence in client service and create an elevated client experience across all retail touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Coaching
- Lead a culture of coaching in-store, working with all roles from Client Advisors to Managers, and providing tailored coaching plans based on their individual needs.
- Support retail managers in developing leadership skills to confidently manage their teams.
- Provide consistent feedback to key stakeholders about the progress and priorities for each store.
- Identify skill gaps and adjust training programs to address emerging needs and priorities.
- Influence and upskill the management team in people management and leadership skills.
- Foster a feedback culture across the business and use active coaching techniques to build a high-performance team.
Collaboration & Development
- Collaborate with merchandising, clienteling, retail excellence, supply chain, and HR teams to design and facilitate core training programs, including inductions, product retraining, floor management workshops, and selling skills.
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to observe and guide the implementation of training initiatives in real-time.
- Identify potential talent within the store and partner with them to develop coaching programs for others.
- Propose candidates for advanced learning opportunities, including academies and EMEA workshops.
Facilitation & Execution
- Define and coordinate the learning calendar for your assigned stores, ensuring that training initiatives align with business needs and priorities.
- Ensure clear and timely communication of training schedules and updates to relevant teams.
- Use role play and on-the-floor coaching techniques to enhance the client experience and embed training into everyday practices.
- Collect both qualitative and quantitative feedback on training events to continuously improve training processes.
Onboarding
- Develop and implement consistent onboarding programs for new hires, in collaboration with store managers and HR.
- Proactively plan for the onboarding of new employees, ensuring all training materials and schedules are in place.
- Work alongside team/store managers to create a program that can be rolled out across various roles within the business.
Profile
- Experience: Substantial experience as a Retail Trainer or in a managerial role within a highly brand-driven and fast-paced retail environment. Ideal experience would be in the fashion, luxury, accessories, or hospitality industries.
- Proven experience in learning delivery, including inductions, briefings, and in-store learning programs.
- Experience in coaching others and supporting team development in a multicultural environment.
- Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders and deliver impactful training programs that drive performance and business growth.
