- At least 5 years of experience working in international development and development finance with a track of structuring, design and implementation of projects in climate change mitigation and adaptation, particularly in energy, waste, agriculture, forestry and other land use, and industry.
- Familiarity with access modalities, project management frameworks, investment criteria of MDBs and prominent global climate funds such as the Green Climate Fund (GCF), The International Climate Initiative (IKI), Mitigation Action Facility (MAF), Global Environment Facility (GEF), and/or Adaptation Fund (AF).

- Desk Review of economic valuation results under phase 1 of South China Sea project.
- National Consultation with six countries to assess the status and developments since the 2008 EV study of economic valuation of ecosystem services in each country.
- Identify blue economy stakeholders in South China Sea countries, including all relevant sectors, government agencies, local communities and the private sector.
- Assess existing national blue economy experiences in the South China Sea countries.
- Assess current blue carbon initiatives in South China Sea countries.
- Based on national assessments and regional and global developments in the field of economic valuation of ecosystems and ecosystem services, such as the TEEB, IPBES, Natural Capital accounting, as well as the emerging Blue Economy: design a methodology as part of a blue economy framework for updating and/or integrating the EV study from phase 1.
- Present the methodology to the Regional Taskforce on Economic Valuation and build consensus at the regional level for the final methodology.
- Working with the Regional Task Force on Economic Valuation to identify options for future financing of conservation and environmental management within a sustainable blue economy framework.
- Train national EV specialists in the methodology.
- Coordinate the implementation of EV updating study in each of the participating countries.
- Draft report on the Valuation of Ecosystem Services from Coastal Ecosystems of the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand.
- Present the report, including its key findings, to the Regional Scientific and Technical Committee and Regional Working Group on Economic Valuation.
- Finalise report based on inputs from RSTC and RWG.
- Coordinate with Consultant 5 (TDA and SAP Updating) with the aim to incorporate economic valuation results into the SAP updating process
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of impact investing, blended finance, innovative finance, African markets, and public-private partnerships is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in raising and investing private debt and private equity through impact investment funds targeting Small and Midsize Enterprises is required.
- Experience in forging innovative partnerships with UN agencies, governments or international NGOs is required.
- Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations on private sector engagement, financial instruments, and investment mechanisms is required.
- Experience in developing and implementing integrated strategies for large-scale private sector engagements, focusing on sustainable development and addressing the drivers of deforestation is highly desirable.
- Experience in project management, including planning, monitoring, risk management and evaluation of finance and investment projects is highly desirable.
- Desk Review of existing regional cooperation mechanisms around the world for regional seas and LMEs and summarizing findings into “List of Options” for regional cooperation in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand
- Coordinate with COBSEA to identify feasible regional cooperation options for elaboration and integration within the COBSEA framework
- National consultations on options for regional cooperation based on findings from above desk review, with the purpose to discuss and compile national priorities and recommendations for regional cooperation
- Draft Options Paper for Regional Cooperation within the context of the Seas of East Asia
- Present draft Options Paper at Regional Consultation
- Finalize Options Paper based on inputs and recommendations from regional consultation
- Develop presentation of Options Paper for regional cooperation in the Seas of East Asia, and presentation of Options Papers to the SCS-SAP Steering Committee (SCM)
- SCM Endorsement of Options Paper
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Partnership development and/or Public-Private Partnerships, Infrastructure Finance, Pension Fund Finance, Infrastructure Finance sector, Infrastructure Public Policies, or related fields is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience (out of the total 7 years) in Africa, in the field of Transaction Advisory is required.
- Experience with Financial Institutions and the Financial sector regulator will be an asset.
- Experience participating in Infrastructure Projects under traditional public contracting or Public-Private Partnerships or concession models in their area of expertise is an asset.
- Assessment of data and information generated as part of the South China Sea -Strategic Action Programme SCS-SAP project.
- Assessment of existing available information on coastal habitats and ecosystems and land-based pollution from national sources as well as regional data from the SCS/Seas of East Asia region.
- Assessment of relevant available data from global databases and websites.
- Coordinate with Coordinating Body for the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA) to align with the COBSEA knowledge management as a cross-cutting strategic issue, and explore opportunities to embed a long-term knowledge management system within the COPSEA Framework.
- Conduct national consultations to identify national priorities for knowledge management for improved science-policy interface.
- Conduct regional consultation on regional priorities for knowledge management system.
- Based on all currently available data and information as well as national priorities, write report on “Options for a Regional Knowledge Management System to Support Integrated Management of the Environment and Ecosystems of the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand”, including science-policy integration, and integration with COBSEA.

- Esta posição contempla a elaboração de um plano de manutenção predial para o Estado de Rondônia/RO e abrange 20 Estabelecimentos Assistenciais de Saúde situados em RO;
- A vaga é home based, mas inclui no mínimo duas idas até Porto Velho e até Cacoal para visita e diagnóstico de 02 Hospitais.
- Requisitos do cargo
- O cargo exige a capacidade de produzir relatórios usando ferramentas de TI, tais como o Google Sheets e o Google Docs.
- Os relatórios de progresso dos produtos designados devem ser preparados usando o Google Slides e as apresentações deverão ser feitas, sempre que necessário, virtualmente por meio de videoconferência e/ou pessoalmente quando indicado pela equipe do projeto e da SESAU;
- O cargo exige contato remoto e presencial com várias pessoas relacionadas ao projeto, sempre que necessário.
- Ao final do trabalho será necessário planejar, elaborar e ministrar treinamento e capacitação para os colaboradores do projeto pessoalmente e/ou por videoconferência, de acordo com a necessidade e preferência da equipe do projeto e da SESAU;
- Devido à natureza do projeto, será necessário realizar minimamente 02 visitas pessoalmente em Hospitais da região para as atividades de levantamento (Cacoal e Porto Velho);

- Coordinate the Consultant 2 (Blue Economy and the Private Sector) on assessing the inter-linkages between pollution, aquaculture and the blue economy.
- Support national consultations on the status of land-based pollution assessments at national levels in each of the SCS countries using a watershed approach.
- Write draft report on assessment of land-based pollution in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand, including the case assessment of inter-linkages between aquaculture and pollution.
- Present above findings to the SCS-SAP Regional Working Group on Land-based Pollution.
- Finalize draft report on assessment of land-based pollution in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand, including the case assessment of inter-linkages between aquaculture and pollution.
- Identify transboundary issues related to land-based pollution, and coordinate with Consultant 5 (TDA and SAP Update) to ensure their integration into the TDA process.
- Provision of guidelines for national reporting on the status of land-based pollution assessments and modeling in each of the SCS countries using a watershed approach.
