Position: Director of Engineering
Location: Grand Hyatt, Kuwait City
Grand Hyatt Kuwait is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and manage the facility operations of Kuwait’s largest conference and convention hotel and residences. This role is key in ensuring efficient operation, equipment maintenance, and the optimal upkeep of the building and grounds. The ideal candidate will be creative, resourceful, and skilled in people management and communication, while possessing superior technical abilities.
- Oversee the Engineering Department’s operations to support all hotel verticals.
- Ensure optimal maintenance of equipment, the building, and the hotel grounds.
- Lead, motivate, and drive the team to deliver top-notch facility management.
- Manage a hands-on approach with exceptional technical skills to resolve operational challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to engineering staff in all maintenance and technical aspects.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury hotel.
- A strong technical background with a proven track record in luxury operations.
- Attention to detail and a passion for customer service.
- Inspirational and engaging leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Pre-opening experience in large hotel operations is a strong advantage.
- Problem-solving and administrative skills are essential.
- Arabic speaking candidates are preferred.
