Strategic Business Analyst

About the job: The ideal candidate should be familiar with supporting the management of business performance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. They should have hands-on experience and knowledge in both qualitative and quantitative analysis to establish actionable insights for business improvements and strategic initiatives. The role includes regular tracking and monitoring of key strategic and operational metrics, such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), and project progress and success metrics. The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced and high-performance work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis and formulation of strategic initiatives by gathering data, conducting analyses, and presenting findings.
• Collaborate with the Strategy & Business Insights Manager to refine and implement the company’s strategic goals.
• Support the development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) for various departments.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collect and analyze both financial and non-financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the development and improvements of departmental dashboards in collaboration with the Information Capital team.
• Develop regular reports on company performance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and support the distribution and presentation of these reports.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and market positioning.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to provide insights on potential strategic moves.
• Provide analytical support for strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and performance goals.
• Contribute to cross-functional project teams, offering insights and analysis to guide project direction.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, strategic planning, or a related field, preferably within the Hospitality or F&B sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields is required.
• Proficient in data analytics tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.

Qualifications and Skills Preferred:

• Advanced financial modeling skills, including prediction and forecasting analytics.
• Experience in Microsoft Viva Goals.
• Skills in using SQL and Microsoft Dataverse to extract and manipulate data.
• Programming or scripting languages such as Python, R, or C++ are a plus.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
