This is a long-term job opportunity for a Valve Specialist with a petrochemical client in Kuwait. The position focuses on ensuring the safety, quality, inspection, repair, and testing of all kinds of valves, including relief devices, automated valves, and regulators, adhering to standards and codes.
Ensure the safety, quality, inspection, repair, and testing of various valves.
Coordinate and apply work processes and global standards to meet objectives safely and timely.
Prioritize technology improvements, upgrades, and testing to enhance maintenance and reliability.
Provide advanced troubleshooting to ensure reliability, cost reduction, and productivity.
Serve as a technical resource in evaluating suppliers and projects for quality improvement.
Monitor and validate supplier performance and recommend improvements.
Review job history and feedback forms to ensure quality and optimize maintenance job execution.
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance activities and discipline operations.
Specific Skills and Knowledge:
Expertise in control valves and valve smart positioners.
Familiarity with API 527, API 2000, API 598, ASME B16.34, API 6D, and ANSI/FCI 70 codes.
Experience with Fieldvue DVC 6000 series, Masoneilan SVI, SVII digital valve controllers, and other smart controllers and positioners.
Ability to read and understand piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID) and data sheets.
Knowledge of valve spares interchangeability and stock maintenance.
Experience in turnaround jobs and field inspection of safety and mechanical valves.
Skills in field calibration of boiler steam safety valves.
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or a 3-year diploma with 10 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical field.
Qualified/certified by safety valve & control valve OEM.
Computer skills and understanding of basic arithmetic, decimals, fractions, and geometric dimensioning.
