  • Recognize and respond effectively in emergency.
  • Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulation.
  • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
  • Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance).
  • Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations and educate students about them.
  • Administer first aid or CPR in an emergency, and if trained, give oxygen and use an automated external
  • defibrillator in needed.
  • Inform other lifeguards and facility staff when you need more help or equipment.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
  • An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a classroom leader by providing high quality, differentiated instruction to students
  • Setting rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students and investing students in these goals
  • Planning and delivering content that covers, but is not limited to, food safety and sanitation, commercial food preparation, meal production and planning, customer service, catering, and culinary arts
  • Designing and implementing high-quality, thorough lesson, unit, and long-term plans that equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to master daily objectives and grade-level standards
  • Preparing, leveraging, and delivering constructive feedback to students aimed at improving their academic performance
  • Consistently implementing and enforcing rules and consequences in the classroom setting and school-wide
  • Providing continuous evaluation of student progress that is consistent with district established goals and policies, and clearly communicating this progress to all necessary stakeholders
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and reporting students’ grade and attendance records
  • Taking personal responsibility for students’ mastery of academic standards
  • Effectively and innovatively incorporating technological resources into classroom lessons
  • Committing to continual professional growth that leads students to achieve the greatest learning gains
  • Attending and actively participating in all professional development, team planning, and data analysis meetings


Responsibilities:

  • Providing supervision and evaluation of all Middle School staff in regards to curriculum implementation and classroom management procedures, providing follow-up and evaluation, and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Weekly monitoring of Middle School department grades, ensuring grades are posted and updated weekly before Principal review.
  • Supervising verification of all Middle School Department grades at report card time before verification by the Principal.
  • Meeting with parents who have concerns about programs or teachers with regards to discipline and behavior management issues.
  • To keep the Principal and school Superintendent apprised of all relevant and pertinent issues.
  • Bi-annual student assessments of subjects from grades-12 reporting before appropriate reporting to Principal, management, and parents.

Qualifications:

  • Native English speaker preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and employees.
  • Have a strong understanding of higher education institution policies.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • A/M.S.
  • Experience in cooperative learning strategies
  • Knowledge and experience of the accreditation process.
  • Previous teaching and/or administrative experience in an International School.
  • 5 years of practical teaching experience.
  • Proven administrative skills and leadership abilities.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration across school divisions and content areas.
