§  Diagnose and treat a variety of health diseases, emergencies & injuries and perform a variety of procedures within the scope of privileges and Department capacity and explain them to the patient to determine which is best for them based on their situation.

§  Handle basic medical treatments appropriately, such as injections, minor procedures, immunizations, wound dressing, and stitches etc. in accordance with MOH polices & procedures within scope of practice in Primary Health Care.

§  Oversee the post treatment care provided by nursing services team and run clinical consultation to ideally fulfil all the tasks of the consultation, as appropriate.

§  Order various laboratory tests and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition, interpret historical records, reports, test results, or examination findings to correctly diagnose the problem(s) of patients, and consequently administer, prescribe, and dispense treatments and medications with correct dosage.

§  Provide explanation to patients following their medical examination, addressing specific questions and concerns expressed by them during the course of the examination.

§  Recognize own limitation to handle difficult cases, ensure proper treatment is provided according to each case, and report difficult cases to relevant stakeholders as required without jeopardizing the safety of patients.
