Responsibilities:
- – Check daily utility pipes and hoses for leaks and monitor tank levels, utility system pressures, oil and water flow, temperature and other parameters based on checklist.
- -Respond to production calls related to mill lubrication and utility system abnormalities during mill operation.
- – Manufacturing and replacing damaged, corroded or leaking pipes and hoses.
- -Performs scheduled service on filters, regulators, lubricants and strainers.
- – Prepare spare pipe reel and hoses as spare parts.
- – Performs condition-based replacement of valves, cylinders, gauges, flow meters and other utility system components.
- -Taking periodic samples of oil from hydraulic tanks and lubrication tanks and sending them to the external laboratory for testing in coordination with the planner and chief engineer.
- -Conduct an inventory of all lubricants, hoses, valves, pipes and fittings to determine stocking level.
- -Maintains log and records all line deformations and activities performed during the shift and submits them to Mechanical Shift In-Charge.
- -Calculate the daily consumption of flowing water by calculating the weight of water and the number of trucks (water transport trips) taken from the drain tank from the ICW, DCW and TMT systems.
- -Sampling ICW, DCW and TMT and checking water parameters to determine how much blowing is required and how much chemicals are needed to maintain good quality water going to the mill.
- – Maintains the water level in the large-hole water trough to avoid water overflowing into the slurry leakage along with the suction side of the water trough.
Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Operator
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out all activities related to transporting scrap cars, preparing scrap, adding materials into the bucket, disinfection drills for arranging materials, and pre-heating activity.
- Perform visual inspection of the bottom of the casing, measure temperature, and monitor the EBT fins (during closure).
- Fire monitoring in the surrounding areas (roof bridge, inclined cylinders, deposition chamber and material area) during the heating and tapping process.
- They report to the Armed Forces Supervisor regarding material releases according to stock availability in the store.
