• Strategic Planning
• Develop the University Library Strategic Plan in coordination with the Colleges, in order to Ensure that the Library responds to changes in academic programs, and is focused on securing the proper services to meet academic needs for information
• Strategic Resource Management:
• Oversee and manage the comprehensive library resources to align them effectively with the evolving needs of the university.
• Strategically plan the acquisition and maintenance of library materials to support academic programs and research endeavours.
• Curriculum Support:
• Collaborate with academic departments and faculty members to understand their resource requirements and tailor library services accordingly.
• Ensure that the library’s collections are curated to complement and enrich the University’s curriculum.
• Library Function Management:
•  Collection Development:
• Develop and implement a systematic approach to building and curating the library’s collection of books, journals, digital resources, and other materials.

• Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Library science, or related, from an accredited University; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Certificates are an asset.

• 10 years of academic library work experience, with growing supervisory and managerial responsibilities

• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Identifying, analyzing, and resolving security issues requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences is crucial. This includes explaining complex security issues in a clear and concise manner.
